Welcome to Badger Class
Our Christian values for the Autumn term are:
This term in English we will be looking at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. We will be writing stories and thinking about different characters and settings and how we can create our own special rooms within the factory. We will be studying how authors create effects with words and the impact these have on the readers.
Throughout the Autumn term we will be focussing on place value: partitioning numbers, rounding, ordering and Roman Numerals. We will move onto addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Within each of these topics we will be linking them with our topic work and also how the are used in real life situations.
We are finding out about early history, particularly dinosaurs. We will be looking at how the planet has changed and evolved through millions of years.
Using our mathematical knowledge we worked hard to produce biscuits; vanilla shortbread and gingerbread. We measured ingredients (liquids and solids) and even the thickness of the dough. We were careful with timings so that our biscuits didn't burn.
We hope the people at our class assembly enjoyed them?
