In maths we are spending the first few weeks extending our place value and number knowledge. We have been doing this in a variety of practical and contextual ways. We will then be moving on to the four operations, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.
This year in Deer class we are kicking our English off with Shakespeare's The Tempest. We are looking at the different features of a play script and have just started planning our own act which will follow on from the Bards own play. Please visit the gallery to see some of our spectacular acting!
We are Going Global in topic exploring world geography in relation to trade and the food we eat. We will look at the history of trade, zooming in on the Mayan's to compare to what we see today.
