Welcome to Deer Class!
Our Christian value for September is: Love
Finishing our SATs, Mrs Furner (Jacob`s mum) kindly treated us to a delicious cake. It was amazingly decorated; it had cupcakes on it, all kinds of mouth-watering lollies and mad jelly beans. The cake was phenomenal! We were very grateful. We even took a picture of it so you can see it; we were all very excited to eat it. We gave some to our office ladies and TAs that helped us through our SATs also. Our remarkable head teacher was additionally given a piece and of course we shared it with the one that helped us all: Mrs McFarlane, our teacher. At the end we all had a bit of a sugar rush but we all enjoyed the treats and were very happy.
Thank you very much Mrs Furner.
It has been a busy and productive half term in Deer class so I thought it would be interesting for you to hear about it from the children’s perspective.
What I have learnt with Mrs McFarlane
During the 1st term and a half with Mrs McFarlane, I have definitely learnt a lot. Whether it is how to achieve Level 6 in English or Maths or how to get 20/20 in spelling. If I am ever stuck, Mrs McFarlane finds a way to help me - even if it take half the lesson. She does this because it will help me challenge myself even more in years to come. During these past 21 weeks I have progressed so much in so many subjects it scares me. I hope I can double my progress in the next term and a half. Mrs McFarlane will not rest until I achieve Level 6 in all subjects. I just need to challenge myself. Which she is teaching me to do right now.
As part of our Harvest Celebrations we went blackberry picking so we could then make blackberry and apple crumbles.
