Welcome to the Summer Term.
We began the term with a science based IPC topic called Freeze it! We investigtated and explored freezing and melting points of liquids. We learned about solids, liquids and gases and discovered molecules. After all our investigating we designed and made our own ice lollies - delicious!
We enjoyed an English topic based on the Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch by Rhonda Armitage. The children wrote very funny new stories to contribute to the collection and truly understood the original Mr Grinling Character. The children investigated making circuits to light up a bulb and then made their own light house models.
Currently we are enjoying swimming twice a week and practising a range of front and back strokes.
In Maths we have been working on our calculation skills, in particular multiplication and division. We have been finding fractions of food to make picnics and share fairly.
Our current IPC topic is Hurray...Let's go on Holiday!.
Holidays are special days when we take a rest from school and work. Our holidays in the past were very different from holidays today. Now that travel to all parts of the world and even space is possible, who knows where we will go for our holidays in the future?
Please look through our photo blocks below to see just some of the exciting learning we are doing.
