Learning together with faith, hope and love

Rabbit Class

Welcome to the Summer Term!

Our Christian Values for this term are: Justice, Forgiveness and Hope.

English:

For the first half of this Summer term we will be looking at a wide range of poetry before writing our own Question and Answer poems. We will also be experimenting with the structure of our own poetry, including using simple rhyme schemes, rhyming couplets, repetition and punctuation. After, we will be writing Mystery stories.

Maths:

After a strong focus on Number and written methods for calculation we will be concentrating on Geometry, especially properties of 2D and 3D shapes, area and perimeter and angles. We will also be studying Fractions and Decimals and money, including giving and receiving change.

Topic:

Our topic this half-term has a strong Geography focus as we learn about different communities, including our own, and what makes a successful and happy community.

KIRF and Spelling Challenges

These will continue to be set each week. Please help your child to practise these as often as possible. They really make a difference to your child's progress in Maths and English.

Our recent visit to Audley End

Easter Poetry Project. Many thanks for all of your hard work. Here is a brief selection of their work.
