Learning together with faith, hope and love
The School Council plays an important part in school life. Each year the children from the classes elect 2 representatives, plus 'reserves', to act on their behalf. If children have any concerns, ideas on how we could do things better or improvements to the school they can put them to the council and the staff, Headteacher and Governing Body will, if possible, act to put them into place.
Children have opportunities to talk in class and the class councilors then take the ideas to full council for discussion and if required make decisions. The councilors can also be asked their opinion on matters.
Since setting up the council the members have selected charities to support, organised events for Children in Need & Red Nose Days, assisted with Open Gardens and Winter Fayres as well as interviewed prospectus teachers!
If you visit the school you can see some of the 'practical' outcomes that have occurred from the council!
Thank you - everyone!!
