Y6 Residential: Day 3
Thu 14 Mar 2024We had a quiet night and the children have tucked into a hearty breakfast. It's Zip Wire, Climbing and Den Building today. We aim to leave Thorpe Woodlands this afternoon at 2:30pm, so should be back at school between 3:30pm and 4pm. The children have been an absolute pleasure to bring away, so "a big thank you" from Mrs Fisher and I for preparing them so well for the trip. Apologies in advance for the muddy laundry...

Y6 Residential: Day 2
Wed 13 Mar 2024After a quiet night, the children have truly excelled themselves today. Activities included: Climbing, Zip Wire, Biking and Canoeing. They have all been supportive of each other and given 100%. We couldn't be more proud.

The children have been amazing and we are so proud of them. After a good journey, we enjoyed a tour of the camp and settled into our pods. This afternoon, we completed: Biking, Team Challenges and Zip Wire. Now we are preparing for the Camp Fire.

NSPCC Assemblies
Tue 06 Feb 2024Today, children in Years 1-6, will be watching the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Assemblies. The programme helps children to understand that they always have a right to feel safe, and that they can speak to a safe adult or Childline if they ever need help or support.

Children's Mental Health Week
Mon 05 Feb 2024This week is Children's Mental Health Week. In school, we launched the week with a special assembly based on the theme: My Voice Matters. During the assembly, we heard about Nicholas Lowinger, who founded the charity 'Gotta have Sole'. The charity provides new shoes for homeless children. The children were reminded that we all have a voice, but when we join together and work as a team we can achieve even more.
