Vandalism at Forest School

A message from Mrs Swan (Forest School Leader):

'Yesterday, I visited the Forest School area in the Millennium Woods to prepare for this week’s session and was saddened to see it has been damaged again.

Over the summer, our storage box was broken into, and now the seating area has been thrown around the woods, children’s artwork destroyed, and branches snapped. It’s upsetting to see such disrespect, especially after the effort the children have put in.

We’re grateful to the Woodland Trust for allowing us to use the woods, and for the wonderful support from the village. I’d hate for the children to lose this special space due to ongoing vandalism.'

Mrs Swan works tirelessly to provide these enrichment opportunities for our pupils and the children gain so much from the chance to visit the woods. Obviously, we are deeply concerned by this news and will be reporting any further vandalism to the police.
