  • Autumn Fete - a great success!

    Sat 20 Oct 2012

Sharing our interests means eating delights!

WOW - Who needs an excuse to enjoy yourself?  Parents and children brought cakes, biscuits, bread, flapjacks, brownie, pickles, chutneys and marmalade. All to share and try.

These were all homemade and we tried to use home/school grown fruit or veg.

Everyone was encouraged to try everything!

How things were made were explained - with great patience!

And - some people ate more than others!!!

  • Autumn has Arrived

    Tue 02 Oct 2012
The cooler, damper days are here with the leaves beginning to change colours. Harvest - thanks giving - is upon us and on Friday we will have a whole school Harvest Day. Children will be divided into Houes 'family' groups and we will prepare and share lunch, enjoy some making and doing based on an autumnal theme and take part in energetic activities! If you wish to help contact the school Office.
After lunch Father Graham will join us and we will have a Harvest Service - thanking God for the wonderful world we live in. Donations are welcome. 'Fresh' will be used to make our lunch as well as produce 'goods' to sell - Friday afternoon 3.00 o'clockish! Dried and canned goods will be presented to the Haverhill Foodbank by the School Council for others in less fortunate situations then ourselves.
We are taking part in a Scarecrow Competition - to be held at Wimpole Hall. We have a screcrow 'work group', who are designing and making - keep your eyes open for photos!
We desperately need 'Midday Supervisors' (Dinner Ladies or Men). Just over an hour per day; 11.55 to 1.10. Ideal job for a 'retired' person. Everyday is different!! Contact the school Office!
Be my guest - come and join me for lunch. Tuesdays or Fridays are probably best! Take care - Mr Sheehan
