  • Staff Training: Tuesday, 5th May 2020

    Sat 25 Apr 2020 Miss O’Connor
Staff Training Day: Please note that school will be closed to key worker children for one day only on Tuesday, 5th May. This is so more of our staff can upgrade their First Aid training to become specialist Paediatric First Aiders (treating children aged 0-5 years). We will re-open again the following day. Thank you and apologies for the inconvenience.
  • Home Learning During Lockdown

    Wed 22 Apr 2020 Miss O’Connor
We are so proud of you all. Thank you for working so hard.
  • Art Project

    Wed 22 Apr 2020 Miss O’Connor
Mrs Swan has kindly offered to coordinate an Art project with all the children. We would like as many children as possible to decorate a flag each. All the flags will then be joined together to make bunting ready for our return to school.
When you have finished your individual design, your flag can be returned by post to school, or put through the letterbox (if you live nearby and are passing during your daily exercise). Please continue to observe the lock down regulations and do not make a special visit to the school to deliver your picture - your safety comes first. Thank you. Please add your name and class neatly on the back!
  • Free School Meals Vouchers

    Tue 21 Apr 2020 Miss O'Connor
Free School Meals Vouchers: If your child is registered at school as being entitled to free school meals, you should have received 2x e-codes via your home email to use at a local supermarket of your choice. The first is for £15 (per child) and the second for £30 (per child - to cover 2 weeks). Checking the website today (it is finally working again) it seems that some parents have not yet redeemed their vouchers. Please check your emails (including junk mailbox) to check these have arrived. There is a short expiry date on the vouchers, so it is important to use them quickly. If you have any problems, please email the school office. As I mentioned in my Newsletter yesterday, the website has been struggling to cope with the increased traffic, but it seems to be working today (albeit slowly). Please note, the government are only offering these to families with FSM status - they are not issuing vouchers to all children in Reception - Y2 (Universal FSM). Thank you.
  • Welcome to our new Reception intake 2020-21

    Mon 20 Apr 2020 Miss O'Connor

Last week, parents all received notification of their Reception place for September 2020.  We will be in touch with all those who have accepted their offer of a place at Castle Camps Primary School shortly. Please ensure you confirm acceptance of your place by emailing the School Office as soon as possible. Thank you.

  • Easter Holiday Arrangements for Key Workers

    Thu 02 Apr 2020 Miss O'Connor

    Dear Parents/Carers,

    Easter Closure

We have looked into the possibility of remaining open during the Easter period for the children of key workers, but given there have been no requests for this provision, we will close tomorrow – which was our original intention - and re-open for the children (of key workers) on Monday, 20th April (9am – 3:15pm). This will enable us to conduct a deep clean of the school over Easter.

Our childcare provision will reopen on Monday, 20th April.

Please could you indicate your school childcare requirements for the week beginning Monday, 20th April and return to the Office email ASAP?

    Kind regards,

    Miss O’Connor
