Sickness Bug
Tue 24 Nov 2015As you may know, it is that time of the year where sickness bugs are very common in schools. I am writing to inform you that, unfortunately, there have been cases of nausea and vomiting within school today, resulting in several children being sent home.
To try and prevent further cases, we are encouraging all the children to thoroughly wash their hands as often as possible in school. Mrs Martin is also continuing to make sure that all areas of the school are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
If your child suffers with diarrhoea or vomiting, please encourage them to drink plenty of fluids to stop dehydration. We would ask you to keep your child at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhoea (this is national guidance)
Thank you for your cooperation.

A Letter from Nick Gibb MP
Wed 18 Nov 2015I was delighted to receive a letter from Nick Gibb MP on 3rd November congratulating us on our excellent 2015 Phonics results. With 95% of our Y1 children achieving the Phonics Pass Mark, Castle Camps is currently ranked in the top 5% of all primary schools in the country. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work of the children and dedication of our staff. A copy of the letter can be found under the 'Parents' tab/Letters. -
