  • Flooding

    Fri 20 Dec 2019 Miss O'Connor

We have received a number of messages from parents this morning concerned about collecting children due to the flooding.

Obviously, the weather is hard to predict and the rain may stop, or continue throughout the afternoon. We appreciate that driving in these conditions can be extremely challenging and therefore, if you would like to collect your son/daughter earlier than the close of day (ideally after 1pm) that would be acceptable - as an exceptional circumstance. However, we will remain open as normal this afternoon for all other families.

Parents with children using the school bus have been contacted separately.

Please drive safely and accept our best wishes for a peaceful and happy Christmas.

  • Sickness Bug

    Wed 11 Dec 2019 Miss O’Connor

    Dear Parents,

As you are aware, it is that time of the year when sickness bugs are very common in schools. I am writing to inform you that, unfortunately, there have been several cases of vomiting and diarrhoea within school today.

To try and prevent further cases, we are encouraging all the children to thoroughly wash their hands as often as possible in school. Mrs Martin is also continuing to make sure that all areas of the school are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

If your child suffers with diarrhoea and/or vomiting, please encourage them to drink plenty of fluids to stop dehydration. We would ask you to keep your child at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhoea (this is national guidance).

The following website gives advice on how to treat vomiting and sickness.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Kind regards,
