School Growing Success
Summer has arrived and ‘produce’ doing well!
After a slow start plants have blossomed, flowers have been pollinated and fruit and veg are on the way.
This week Class 5 tasted the first of our broad beans – simply boiled and peeled. 93% ‘they tasted good’ – only one not convinced!
Strawberries seem to be ‘disappearing’ – I wonder who???
Tomatoes almost ready and so are the peas.
40+ tomato plants were given to children and I hope that they will take great care of them and enjoy their harvest.
On show: Fennel, potatoes, courgettes, onions, shallots, peas, beans, cabbages, tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries.
